ATEN VanCryst™ Digital Media Matrix Solution is a combination of the VM1600 16 x16 Modular Digital Matrix Switch and a VM7604/VM8604 DVI Input/Output Board or VM7804/VM8804 HDMI Input/Output Board. The VM1600 routes and distributes audio, video signals. It provides several convenient ways to access and control source devices: locally, using the front panel pushbuttons and RS-232 / RS-485 / RS-422 serial ports; as well as remotely, over the Internet using a browser-based interface. With its built-in Scaler functionality, the VM1600 can flexibly integrate different video input/output interfaces and encodes various video formats to provide seamless, real-time switching while ensuring stable signal transmission. Broadening the A/V system scale while maintaining one chassis, the VM1600 is easily expandable and accommodates a lineup of hot-swappable ATEN I/O boards. The ATEN VanCryst™ Digital Media Matrix Solution is ideal for use in conferences and training rooms, or any applications requiring large-scale A/V setups.

The Digital Media Matrix solution makes managing your equipment easy and convenient by offering several access and control options – including front panel pushbuttons, RS-232 / RS-485 / RS-422 serial connectivity, and a browser based web interface.

• Smooth and Seamless Viewing Experience
The VM1600 has a built-in Scaler in CrossPoint design that unifies video formats and provides continuous video streams, real-time switching and stable signal transmission. It is capable of high-speed switching between input/output ports – supporting TMDS high data transfer rates of up to 1080p / 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz to minimize latency.

In addition to high quality video, the integrated audio component delivers an outstanding A/V experience when working with modern multimedia applications.

• Hot-pluggable Modular Fan Design
Overheating may slow down device performance significantly, and even result to equipment breaking down mid-operation. ATEN ensures that your investment is protected while delivering outstanding performance. The VM1600 is equipped with fan modules to ensure that a cooling system is in place. The fans are hot-pluggable and can easily be replaced without shutting down the installation.
• Hot Swappable Boards and Redundant Power
There is no need to power down your VM1600 installation when changing Input/Output boards. The I/O slots are hot-swappable, making it easy and convenient to switch between multiple sources and displays.
The VM1600 also has two power sockets that can be connected to two different power supplies. When the primary power shuts down, the secondary power source can take over.

• EDID Expert Technology
User can select optimum EDID settings for smooth power-up, high quality display and use of the best resolution across different monitors.

• Superior Balanced Audio Quality
The balanced audio connector consists of three wires – two carrying the signal and a shield/ground conductor. Provides the highest quality balanced audio.
